Artist/Curatorial Statement

Ravens are well-regarded in the wild; and are my favorite to follow and study. I love the giant beaks on these remarkable birds. One of their strengths undoubtedly is recognizing opportunity. They also speak to one another, and other creatures of the forest, planning and collaborating. I’ve tried to symbolize Raven’s commanding awareness within my design, Raven and Light; these Ravens are speaking to one another.

Coast Salish peoples value inclusion and innovation, I try to be effective at honouring the importance of our history, as well as embracing important social and environmental nuances of the 21st century within my works.
