The Salish Weave Collection: Works on Paper

This exhibition featured work from the Salish Weave Collection, a private collection of contemporary Coast Salish art that weaves together the distinctive forms and designs of established and emerging artists. With work by Andy Everson, Maynard Johnny Jr., lessLIE, Luke and John Marston, Chris Paul, Susan Point and Dylan Thomas, it showcased artists who embrace the practice and revival of Salish art.
The displayed works on paper are part of the permanent and the education collections of the Burnaby Art Gallery. Seven small sculptural works loaned by the Salish Weave Collection are also on display. The exhibition ran April 18 – May 31, 2017.
